It's fall, you know. Leaves falling, air chilling, sweaters wearing, cider sipping.
1 gallon apple cider
1-2 oranges (depending on your taste), cut in half
10 whole cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp dried ground ginger
Pour apple cider into a large pot or slow cooker. Squeeze the orange halves into the cider. Add the orange halves, cloves, cinnamon and ginger to the cider and stir. Set heat to low and let sit for at least 3 hours.
Key to spiced cider: Sip. Do not gulp or chug. It ruins the spirit of fall.
