Baby it's cold outside...

For a Glendora-born Southern California little boy, snow is a BIG deal. Huge. Yesterday morning, I was awakened by a little boy whispering, "Mom, there is a lot of snow outside and I need to go outside." Since I am constantly striving to be a cool mom, I let him. I had him go to the bathroom and then we went upstairs and suited him up. Coat, gloves, snow pants, socks and snow boots, and all the while, he was in his jammies.

He walked outside and said he was going to go find some snowballs. The poor kid thinks they are just lying around. So we had little snowball tutorial while I was in my jammies, no bra and my dad's Sorels. And like any cool mom, I threw a snowball at him.

Most of the morning consisted of going in and outside and drinking more hot chocolate than water. By the afternoon, it had started to snow again. So back on with the gear and out he went. Later, he came in complaining.

"Mom, I do not like those things falling in my face. They bug me."

"Snowflakes?"

"Yeah, whatever they are. I don't like them."

Whit you are a cool Mom! Cool Moms (such as me) even take their kids to school whit no bra. I keep it covered with my giant sweat shirt my Dad gave me.

I wish that we were there, then Emm and Jack could play together. Whenever I read the things Jack states, it makes me giggle!

your christmas this year is really going to feel like christmas. how fun! (minus the getting all geared up to go play outside, then getting too cold, then getting bored in the house and wanting to go outside all over again.)

I love it that you write your conversions with Jack. I feel like I know him. That's a good thing.
