Live-in husband

People, we have something monumental today. Something that hasn't happened in maybe... forever?

I don't have any recipes to post.

I know, what is my big fat problem? Why can't I get a grip on my life and get back to blogging about food. This thing is called Rookie Cookie you know.

Well, maybe I haven't been creating and cooking because I get to have my husband back. I just want to hang out with him and cooking gets put on the back burner (pun totally intended). Like Wednesday, we ditched responsibility and drove through lovely, foggy Provo Canyon and up to Park City. And the only reason we drove all the way up there was to get ice cream. Yes, ice cream. Special ice cream that is only in Park City, UT and Eastern Canada (which is a place dear to his little missionary heart).

Poor Ethan goes back and forth to California (dr. appts.) and he only gets to visit us. But joy to the world, I got to unpack his bags yesterday. I got to actually hang his clothes up in the closet! His toothbrush charger is now plugged into the outlet in the bathroom! Charger? Doesn't your toothbrush require a charger? How wonderful it is to have a live-in husband again.

But as good as it is to have him around, it isn't good that he gets the stomach flu. Yesterday, through feverish shivers, he declared he is dying and that I need to draw up a will. But I just refilled his water, gave him some more toast and told him to go back to sleep.

And here is a question that has been KILLING me. Why were there staples in the sheets?

Before I go to bed, I like to straighten the sheets if I haven't made my bed that day.

Spoiler alert: I most surely do not make my bed everyday. I will probably be sent to housewife hell.

Anyways, straightening the sheets and I found some of the most peculiar things hiding between my beloved cream-colored 600 thread counts. Staples, grapes, remote controls, socks, Dr. Seuss books, and my cell phone (finally!). How does all of that get into my sheets? Makes me wonder what Ethan did all day while he was sickly. Let's see... he was stapling grapes to the Dr. Seuss books?

Reunited and it feels so good...if only his belly felt good too. At least he is *there*, hope he is feeling better soon.

Have a great weekend!

Um whitney? Can you please go into some further detail about this ice cream only to be found in Park City and Eastern Canada? You DO know I served my mission in Eastern Canada too right? However, I was not so fortunate to eat ice cream as much...uh, you know, weight gain? I tried unsuccessfully to avoid it by avoiding things like ice cream, but would sure like to experience it next time I'm driving through Park City (Which probably won't be for a long time, but I'll keep the info in the back of my head)
