BTW, I'm back from my trip. Southern California was all I had hoped it would be. I could write up a huge post about the trip and all of the great details, but I think the trunk of our car sums it up perfectly.
I have that big crate of lemons and a few oranges. Any ideas on what I can do with them? And please don't say lemon poppy seed bread.

Lemon meringue pie and lemon curd!
I may know someone who would be willing to take a few off your hands. I'm just saying...
Tarts, sherbet, ice cream ,sorbet, marinades, salads, mocktails :)
Can you come up with a kick-a lemon bar recipe??
You can make some great lemonade :) or some orange chicken, limoncello, lemon dressings....
See my instructions for Lemon Buttermilk Sorbet at http://just2morebites.pnn.com. Yum!!!
An orange and almond cake. Oh I love it.Even lemon and lmonds are awesome
lemon cream cake please
White sangria! Slice an array of the fruit very thin and empty a bottle (or two) of pinot grigio, albarino, or a dry sauvignon blanc into a large pitcher. Add the fruit, a apple diced fine, and maybe some crushed mint. Let steep and serve chilled. Works with red too- something fairly dry- but with white it makes a great summer treat.
I would definitely make fresh lemonade!!
I like to take the zest off the lemons and juice them and freeze both. I measure the juice and write on the freezer bag. It is great to be able to pull out a bag of juice for lemonade or orange juice or to use in recipes.
The Pioneer Woman has a pretty awesome baked lemon pasta at her site. I add chicken in with mine so I can pretend it's healthy. :-)
thanks so much for your comment compliment. i love your blog and witty ways!
No, grand ideas here but I'll be back to see what ones YOU come up with.
I see one already.....
