This is what I have been eating for dinner lately. Just me, salsa and a bag of tortilla chips. We make each other so happy. This jarred salsa is the best marriage of sweet and spicy that I have ever found- besides me and Ethan's marriage of course.
Since summer left and took all the good tomatoes with it, quality fresh salsa is hard to come by. So...
What is your favorite brand of jarred salsa?

Which one of you is sweet? 'Cause you're both spicy.
I hate commercially bottled salsa so I can't answer this question. Where can you get the Daniel's brand? Maybe he (as in Daniel) can change my food snobbery towards un-fresh salsa. I'd love to try it - where can I buy it?
straight from my Connie's hands
the woman bottled and especially fine batch this year
Santa Barbara Chiptle Peach Salsa is divine!!!! And with blue corn tortilla chips, even better:)
Herdez brand....it's the only bottled salsa that doesn't come in a thick nasty sauce.
Trader Joe's Double Roasted Salsa
Another vote for Herdez. You can find it with the authentic mexican food (always a good sign). Medium Herdez is the only one that makes it into our house.
Trader Joes' peach salsa!
Herdez. It's the best. The only one I buy.
The Best Salsa Recipe from Albuquerque NM
2 cans whole tomatoes
2 fresh jalapenos
4 green onions
1 or 2 whole garlic clove
Handful of fresh cilantro
tablespoon of salt
Throw it all into a processor or blender or whatever will chop and combine together...
Add more or less of the ingriedents if you wish! It is so good!
Safeway has a really good pineapple mango dealie that my husband and I plow through about once a week. I like Mission tortilla STRIPS chips. The regular ones are always too big for my mouth.
I concur with TJ's double roasted salsa. The only one I can eat outta the jar. But I would certainly trust your opinion about Daniel's. Can I find it in Cali??

I'm not fond of tomatoes so me and salsa barely speak. This one sounds interesting with the addition of corn and black beans.

I love that brand too. Another good one is Green Mountain Gringo. My son is a salsa freak.
I am also a fan of Herdez, although the hubs is not. He usually takes a jar of Herdez Salsa Verde, and doctors it up, adding fresh ingredients. Semi-homemade, is where it's at...at least over at my house!
Now you know I only consume RC's Chipotle Peach Salsa... ;)
xo
The Safeway house brand is surprisingly good. We love their "Peach Pineapple Salsa" and it's ridiculously cheap!
Herdez, but with added fresh cilantro.
Another vote for Trader Joes Double Roasted Salsa.
