Do you ever have your toddler sleep in your bed? I do, especially when Ethan isn't home. Jack slept with me last night.
Me: "Okay Son, time to go to bed."
Jack: "Why?"
Me: "Because it is sleepy time."
Jack: "Can I wake up when it is sunny time?"
Me: "Yes."
A few minutes of silence
Jack: "Mom, can I talk to you?"
Me: "Yes, but then you have to go to sleep."
Jack: "I love you."
Me: "I love you too. Will you go to sleep now?"
Jack: "SURE!"
A few more minutes of silence and then a little warm body is right up against my back.
Me: "What are you doing?"
Jack: "I want to sleep on your wet hair. It's cold and it feels good."
Me: "Son, are you mommy's boy?"
Jack: "Yes. Forever and ever and ever and ever. True loves kiss. You are a princess."
Me: "Good night Son, thanks."

Where's Ethan?
Your son is amazing.
Ethan had to stay in California for a few weeks. His dr doesn't want him to leave. Believe me, I am bummed to the max.
This conversation is so endearing. I loved it, as obviously you did too. Jack knows how to do it. He will make the perfect husband some day.
Wow, is Jack the perfect son or what? Just wait until he starts saying those sweet things to the "ladies"...he is gonna be a heartbreaker.
oh my goodness ... how CUTE is that?!
We just ended a month of "lots of travel" for SPH. R slept in his place several times. Precious.
Lynne, making him a nice boy and eventually a nice man is the hope.
Tiff, I think you have a crush on my son. It's okay, just admit it. I know you do.
Jodi, that will be Aiden sooner than you know it.
Sweet Pea, there is something comforting about having a little boy sleep next to you, huh? Do you think he will sleep next to me and play with my hair when he is 15? Probably not. :(
