Moon Walk

So there was a full moon last week. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal in busy, city lights Southern California. But in the Nebo Mountains, it really is a sight to see.

Last week, around 11:00pm, Jack and I were finally going to bed (I still make him sleep with me every night). We had just gotten off the phone with Ethan and we were tired. As we got under the covers, we both noticed a big stream of moon light across our bed. So we both turned to the window to look at the moon.

"Mom, can we go outside and see it?"

Sure it was 11:00 and I was tired, but why not bundle up? So we did. We put on sweatshirts, socks, slippers and wrapped up in blankets and went outside.

We layed on the lawn and starred at the moon and the stars. We hummed "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and talked about spaceships. We talked about Daddy and looked for the biggest star in the sky. That little boy was as charming as one could hope their child to be on a night like that.

When we went back inside, we got under the covers, giggled about how cold our cheeks were and cuddled to sleep. Nights like that get tucked away in my head in my "Special Memories" file forever. Never will I forget our little moon walk.
