Beautiful color, I think I would take that one if at all possible. I would love to make any kind of soup including homemade chicken noodle, clam chowder, vegetarian soup and my favorite, French Onion soup. This pot would do such a wonderful job browning and bringing out the beautiful flavor of the onion... Can't you just taste it with the amazing gruyere cheese melted on top of a lightly toasted piece of artisan bread????

I would make my mom's yummy chicken tortellini soup in the pot, along with my family spaghetti sauce recipe that would simmer away in this beautiful pot for hours and hours and make the kitchen smell so yummy... I want it, I want it, I want it!!! Pretty please???

Any soup would be fantastic and I did try your butternut squash one and it was amazing, but I did see a girl say something about canning. Although it would not be the most glamorous use, I would make some homemade grape jelly. It's my fam's favorite.

the straz fam said...

Any and all soups!!! I hope my family likes soup beause if I win this gorgeous pot we would have a different soup every night of the week!

Cheeky said...

This is Janeen's sister, Pam Svedberg. My first thought is applesauce and tomato sauce during canning season! My Le Creuset Dutch oven is brilliant at it, but really heavy when I am tilting and scraping the last bits out. This would be perfect! Homemade Chicken noodle soup, too! And Fudge at Christmas time! I better stop! Thanks for the great giveaway!

tara said...

ooh i heart this. being a newly married gal..I'd prove to my husband, I am a cooker (a darn good one)...and make my mom's homemade chicken noodle soup. yum!

Mind Spittle said...

We make a mean (and by mean, I mean divine) Three Orange Soup. I think the color of the dish would compliment a carribean Stock Pot just fine!

Hmm. Can't make Rookie Cookie's Root Beer cookies in it; can't make her pizza dough in it. How to use this beautiful pot?

I would celebrate the fruit of our land here in New England by using it for lobsters, clams and other yummy fruits of the sea.

Since my hubby was laid off last month, I think we'll be fishing a lot for our dinner, so it will get a lot of use :-)

Roby Sue said...

Aw... Dawn already said what I was about to say. Specifically, I will make lots and lots of soup. Chicken and rice. French Onion. Celery root and apple. Carrot Potato. I <3 soup. And also, I <3 Le Creuset.

Walker said...

Oh! I would love this! I have to say, it might fall into my husband's favorite category of "Most Expensive Paperweight" along with my Kitchenaid Mixer and sewing machine...But in a world where I didn't commute 3 hours/day and had the luxury of time to cook, I would definitely make my mother-in-law's spaghetti sauce. My husband LOVES it and I don't have a pot deep enough to make it right now!

Kimball and Ashley said...

I would soak my slashed foot in that pot. Ha ha! Just kidding. I would come to your house and you would show me things that would be appropriate to make in such a pot. Because you are that good of a friend to me. You know I'm a cooking tard.

Christina said...

Hooray! I'd make Italian sausage and pasta soup. Delish!

Brandy said...

I would cook a BUNCH Of corn on the cob. I don't have a pot big enough to boil more than a few ears! YUMMY! (and of course soups, stews, chili's - etc!) I love that blue color!

Ames said...

I would undoubtedly use this drool-worthy vessel to concoct my Irish comfort food: Guinness Beef Stew. I live in Maryland, where the weather has been unseasonably cold (45 degrees and rainy today!), so the thought of a cradle-to-the-grave pot like this where I can do everything from saute the veggies to braise the meat )in Guinness and red wine until it's fork-tender) is warming. I couldn't make the mashed potatoes (I leave a generous scoop in the middle of the bowl of stew) in it, too, but I guess I can deal with that ;-)

Does it help that I've been begging my husband for a Le Creuset piece (to no avail!) in that EXACT blue to match my forthcoming new kitchen? We have a dark brown particle board cabinet scheme now, and my brand new milk-chocolate-glaze-on-white cabinets just arrived yesterday!

Oh, and please.

tattwo said...

I'd make White Chicken Chilli - I totally screwed up the recipe last time and ran out time, so I'm determined to make a better batch. If this one doesn't work, I'm throwing out the recipe.

Crystal said...

This is great! I would make my aunt-in-law's corn chowder first (horribly bad for you but so good), then I'd restock my freezer with homemade chicken stock, then get to work on the small stack of soup/stew recipes that I've been saving and meaning to try on my family.

Oh my goodness I would LOVE to get this beautiful pot. I have wanted one for the longest time. I would probably make my Grandmother's recipe of Chili Sauce. I remember as a child when I visited her in Salem, Utah, she would let me help her slip the skins on the tomatoes, cut up the vegetables, but my favorite part was measuring the spices. It was like magic! I have such WONDERFUL memories of this growing up and I have shared that with my boys. What would we do without these FABULOUS women in our lives who helped to make us who we are! I would be happy to share the recipe with anyone who would like it. carolyntb@gmail.com

And now that I finally have my own place, I can't wait to try out some of the recipes from your blog that've caught my eye over and over!
