When I was newly married, I made some of the dumbest kitchen mistakes. And recipes that I thought were going to be amazing were totally not. Like some really nasty tuna casserole and some terrible potato fries. But occasionally, I was able to find a recipe that was actually good. This was one of them.
3 lbs chicken wings, split and tips discarded
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup honey
¼ cup molasses
2 Tbsp chile sauce
1 tsp dried ground ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
Place the chicken in a 9x13 baking dish. In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, molasses, chile sauce, ground ginger and garlic. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Set oven to 375. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 50 minutes, turning and stirring the chicken occasionally. Serve with a little extra sauce drizzled over the top.
Yields 4 servings.
