Rockwell, Ethan and Caroline

These are my kids lately:

Congratulations to Jack. He is 5 1/2 and can finally pump himself on a swing. Good thing he figured it out before kindergarten or else he would be that kid.

See? I told you Van has a huge mouth. Not sure what he is worked up about in this picture. Probably something to do with a denied refill of milk in his sippy cup.

And Violet is still really adorable and perfect. And blue-eyed.

The Facebook

I finally started The Facebook. I resisted, but the powers that be got to me. Will you be my friend? Click HERE for my profile and request to be my friend.

In my photos, I have this picture of Violet:

And my sister Megan commented,

"Probably the best picture I've seen of her.
You should send it to me to fancify so you can post it."

So there you go. Megan could be right. This a is a great picture of my little flower. Just look at that little perfect mouth.

Currently, Violet is sitting next to me on the couch and she just filled her drawers. Gotta go.

Refreshing

I often ask Ethan, "Are you ever so glad we had a girl so we could use the name Violet." And just to entertain me, "Oh yes Whitney. So glad."

The day after Violet was born, the pediatrician came to the hospital to give her a good look over. After reporting to me that she was healthy and nearly perfect, he asked, "What is her name?" I said, "Violet Caroline." He replied, "Violet! How refreshing!" I can imagine. In a place like Utah Valley, Violet must be refreshing among of sea of Breeleighs and Taeleahs.

The other day, I was on the phone with the health insurance people and the agent on the phone broke down, "Violet. What a beautiful name! I haven't heard that name in ages!" And because that seemed to make me appealing, he then asked me how well she is sleeping at night and if she is starting to smile.

Well, is she starting to smile? Yes, definitely yes.

And yes, that picture is the wallpaper on my desktop.

Knows

My mother in-law knows how to make a quilt. And I mean KNOWS. See, look.

And I know how to make cute little girls. And I mean KNOW. See, look.

Can you believe it's already been 4 weeks?

Diapers, Boots and Violet

Yes, we are those neighbors that let our kids run around in their diapers.

We are also those neighbors with the imaginative child that dresses up as an "army man" everyday. All of the bad army guys go to jail. Jail is my laundry room. The uniform consists of camo print anything, black rain boots from Wal-Mart, the free Similac backpack from the hospital and a Super Soaker.

And we are also the neighbors that have a really cute new baby. Violet, Violet. Sweet, perfect darling daughter.

KEEPING IT REAL: The baby is the easy part. Please bless that I don't kill my other two children. Please, please, please.

Arrived

I had the most appropriate Mother's Day.

Around 10pm on Sunday, I delivered the loveliest baby girl.

Violet Caroline.

She was a nice 7 lbs and 9 oz and has the sweetest baby girl mouth. Delivery was uncomplicated and very agreeable. My doctor proclaimed that I should have three more babies since I am so good at delivering them.

Violet and I got home today, welcomed by two excited brothers. Jack is very helpful and Van is very curious. Wants to poke her eyes out and eat them. But we are careful to not let him do that.

We are enjoying her immensely.
