I'll see you when I see you

I am going on hiatus. I need a bit of a blogging break while the wicked witch in my stomach stirs my churning insides. She does it all day. I can hear her evil laugh as she stirs, "Hee hee hee! You have to pay to play the game! Did you really think you could be pregnant and not feel the yuckies?! YOU FOOL! You are mine!" She is vicious and I hate her.

I don't know when I will be back. It could be tomorrow, next month or next year. Or maybe after my first trimester. I actually toyed with the idea of quitting this blogging thing all together. But good golly, I feel terrible. Hence, I am not cooking anything thrilling. I have nothing, unless you need a recipe for scooping Nutella onto a spoon or pouring milk over cereal. I definitely have directions for those.

When I come back, I will hopefully have developed recipes for the following:
Pear Hazelnut Phyllo Bundles with Creme Anglaise
Pina Colada Cake
Sweet Potato Polenta with Maple and Bacon
Pork Tenderloin with Pear Chutney
Pork Milanese with Tomato and Caper Relish
(note how many times the letter P shows up in those dishes. That is a little odd. I guess I have pee on the brain. I am a mother of two young children, pee is an unfortunate large part of my life.)

And I'll tell you what, if you try and steal my brilliant ideas, I will find you and have my mean older sister give you good old fashioned cyber beating.

If you have questions or any matters of the like, please feel free to e-mail me. I would be happy to hear from you. whitney_leigh_ingram@yahoo.com

See you when I see you.

Whitney,
I truly love your blog. It's one of the few I frequent on a regular basis. I will definitely miss your witty posts and delicious recipes, but I hope you are feeling like yourself again, real soon. A big cyber ((HUG)) to you :)

oh the sheer evils of pregnancy and the all day sickness. It robs you of any warm feelings you have for food and the kitchen. I'm having flashbacks just thinking of the misery. We will miss you indeed, hopefully in a few months you will be ravenously hungry and back in the kitchen. Your blog is one of my faves.

thought of you the other day. i went to a 3 1/2 hour dinner at a lovely french restaurant with too many courses to remember. it was fantastic. what made it better is that we didn't have to pay!

you'll be missed while you're away. happy gestating!

Congratulations! I LOVE your website. I love to cook & bake and you provide me with lots of inspiration. But guess what--I'm expecting myself and can't HANDLE anything to do with food these days. Such a tragedy. Please don't go away for good!
